What exactly is a Colon?

What exactly is a Colon? The colon or large intestine , is at the end of the human digestive tract, which carries food from the mouth to the anus. It is approximately 5 feet long and 2.5 inches in diameter. Its major role is to eliminate waste and conserve water. What are Colonics? colon healthColon Hydrotherapy, Colonics, Colon Irrigation, are all names for the same process. A safe, effective method of removing old fermented, and putrified toxic waste from the large intestine or colon, without the use of drugs. By introducing purified, temperature and pressure regulated water into the colon, the waste is softened, loosened, and then evacuated through natural peristalsis (wavelike muscle motion). Why Should I be Concerned About My Colon? Our modern lifestyle isthe reason for the increase in people suffering from congested bowels & colon / rectum cancer, now the most lethal of cancers in the United States. Our new age diet is far from that of our ancestors, and we are paying for it dearly. Refined white flour, white sugar, plus meat, dairy products, alcohol, preservatives, and refined junk foods, not to forget, all the pesticides and herbicides our food is exposed to, have weakened our digestive and eliminative system.

Fifty-seven of the world's leading physicians met in a health conference. One of their conclusions was that "every organ of the body is affected by reabsorbed poisons from the colon ... constantly bathing the delicate cells". Autointoxication is the process whereby the body poisons itself by holding a cesspool of decaying matter in the colon. The toxins released by the decay process get into the bloodstream and travel throughout the body. Every cell in the body is affected and many forms of sickness can occur. Because it weakens the entire system, autointoxication can be linked to nearly every disease. What Happens During a Colonic? During the session, the client lies on a massage table, wearing their upper clothing, and special Colonic underwear. They are then covered by a sheet. A small, lubricated, disposable speculum with a water hose, and evacuation tube attached is inserted into the rectum and used to connect to the equipment. Water flows in through the small hose and the accumulated waste leaves through the larger evacuation tube. The practitioner will use several fills and releases during the process as well as massage to the abdomen, and several accupressure points to stimulate the elmination process. A viewing tube displays all of the waste as it leaves the body. A colonic takes 45 minutes to an hour. A series of treatments is normally required to dislodge the toxic buildup. Interesting Points to Remember:
    • One colonic may be the equivilent of 20-30 regular bowel movements.
    • The average person, neither overweight or especially allergic, may be carrying 10 -25 lbs. of dried fecal matter in their Colon.
    • Improper diet, lack of exercise, lack of water, stress, and 'ignoring the call of nature' can all lead to bowel problems.
    • A healthy Colon should be eliminating waste every 18 hours or 1 - 2 times per day.
    • Autointoxication can be linked to nearly every modern disease.
